I graduated from college a couple of years ago and is working as a CPA now for a large accounting firm. Want to get advice if I should switch into strategic financial planning for a corporate conglomerate or go into in investment management for a long term career. I am in my mid twenties now. Thanks.

Question. I will be interviewing next week with a semicon co. for the position of project manager. I have been an engineer all my career and so this is the first managerial job I am applying for? What should I wear? Suit or business casual? Any comments would be appreciated.

I just met my previous neighbor this weekend, and he said he is moving to the big apple to work for a bulge bracket firm as an investment banker. He advised me to get an MBA in Finance with a very good college before considering that. Anyone out there who can advise me on that, because I really would rather start working than to go back to school. Appreciate it.

Sorry, did not mean to close this question, any more advice would be appreicated.......I have an interview on Monday with a company in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The job title is Office Manager Administrator (accts payable/recievable, office management etc). I have managed to find out some info regarding the company size (8 employees) type (Interior Designers) and length of time in business (28 years). I am finding it increasingly difficult to find out how much of a salary I should ask for if posed with this question. With the job market the way it is at the moment in Michigan, I do not want to blow myself out of the water with a salary expectation that the employer will not even consider and then again I do not want to settle for less than I can afford, or deserve. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm finding that support staff rarely break the ranks of "secretary" once they come in as a support person (even if their skills far surpass what's considered a "traditional" secretary). How does a secretary move forward in a company?
