Continuing from my previous question, I also wanted to know how can a sales person who has 10 years of B2B sales experience possibly switch to another career that is not sales related. I want to get into business development or marketing. So, I need to know what networking methods out there that can help me besides the regular network groups I am already in or business smoozing.

Sales and marketing are not exactly the same but are close in certain aspects, so for you to switch to marketing wouldn't be so difficult. Marketing is more analytical though with lots of spreadsheets and stuff. Networking online might be a good idea if you are not rushed for time to get a new job. Otherwise, submitting to job listings might be the best way to do it.
