I just met my previous neighbor this weekend, and he said he is moving to the big apple to work for a bulge bracket firm as an investment banker. He advised me to get an MBA in Finance with a very good college before considering that. Anyone out there who can advise me on that, because I really would rather start working than to go back to school. Appreciate it.

If that is what it takes then you have to do it. The banking industry might be on a hiring freeze now as the news indicated. And so it might be more difficult for you to get in if you don't have the relevant experience or education.
