I just happened to see your question and my advice to you is that you have to make a decision on which career direction you wish to take; e.g. finance, HR or marketing or sales. Depending on what your interests and strengths are, you can choose to utilize some of those relevant skills you acquired during your tenure as a secretary to your advantage. If it is not possible for you to advance in the same company, then perhaps it is time to find a new job.
